If your product’s BM plans on charging users then the KPI to follow is revenue. If your product’s BM doesn’t plan on charging users then KPI can be total users, DAU, engagement, etc
Most dapps fall into the former in someway via fees, in this case users is only a soft KPI.
Product’s like lens protocol for example seem to fall into the latter bucket, where user count, engagement, etc are more important because lens doesn’t directly charge users but rather users charge users
